The Pointe Academy Dance Center is Rochester's Premier Dance Studio celebrating 30 years of dance excellence. The Pointe Academy Dance Center is dedicated to developing one's personal artistic best through an open, supportive, positive and all inclusive environment.
MEET THE PADC FACULTY
Marybeth Tremp-Seeger, BFA, MA, LPC
Owner, Executive Artistic Director
Ballet & Pointe Instructor & Choreographer
Marybeth Tremp-Seeger is the proud owner, founder and director of the Pointe Academy Dance Center. Ms. MaryBeth has an extensive career in dance and academic achievements. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marygrove College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a specialization in Dance Movement Therapy. She has also obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling with Honors from Oakland University.
Ms. MaryBeth has performed in numerous companies including Dance Detroit, The Michigan Opera Theater, 3x3 Dance, Interlochen’s Dance Company, and The Madame Cadillac Dancers. In addition, Ms. MaryBeth toured Japan with Dance Detroit and the Etoille Ballet Company as well as appearing in many roles in the Detroit Symphony’s Nutcracker Ballet. Ms. MaryBeth’s students and choreography have appeared on many stages, including Orchestra Hall with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra; Disney World; the Palace of Auburn Hills; Statue of Liberty, New York, NY; Troy Daze Family Fair; Comerica Park; the Rochester Christmas Parade; and the Royal Park Hotel. Her dancers have raised over $75,000 for numerous charities by performing in fundraisers for Relay for Life, ALS of Michigan, and Make a Wish Foundation.
Dori Ranck, BS

Ms. Dori has been with The Pointe Academy Dance Center since 1993. A dance instructor for over 30 years, Ms. Dori has studied with numerous professional choreographers including, Joe Tremaine, the late Al Gilbert, Rhonda Miller & Nick Dinicolangelo
Mariana Yonova
Bulgarian Choreographic School
Ballet Instructor & Choreographer
Mariana graduated from the Bulgarian State Choreographic School in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a professional dancer, she performed for 14 years at The Opera House, Hristo Brambarov in Pleven Bulgaria. As a soloist of the Company Ms. Mariana has toured in Russia, German and Italy where she received recognition for her performances. For three years, Mariana was employed as a professional ballet dancer in Italy. She has performed in over 30 ballets which includes major roles such as Baechesaraisky Fountain, Nestinarka, Cinderella, Reflection, Petrushka and many more.
Gabrielle Tremp, BS, MSOT, OTRL

Jazz, Contemporary & Modern Instructor & Choreographer
Gabrielle has been dancing since birth at The Pointe Academy Dance Center. She received extensive dance training at the PADC, Marygrove College & Western Michigan University. During her undergraduate years at WMU, Gabrielle spent a lot of time in the dance studio where she received a minor in dance and also performed as a member of the WMU dance team. During her dance training, Gabrielle won numerous scholarships for her dancing and her choreography. She has been under the direction of established choreographers such as Sonya Tayeh, Marcea Lane, Caroline Lewis-Jones, Justin Giles, Monique Haley and Whitney Moncrieff. Gabrielle has performed at numerous locations across the United States, ranging from The Palace of Auburn Hills to The Statue of Liberty in NYC. Most recently, Gabrielle graduated with her Masters in Science in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. Gabrielle works as a registered occupational therapist when not working behind the desk or teaching classes at the studio!
Jessica B. Spano, BA
Modern Instructor & Choreographer
Pointe Academy Dance Center alumna Jessica Bliemaster Spano pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Western Michigan. Upon graduating, she began her career as a public relations consultant in New York City for dance companies including Paul Taylor Dance Company, Twyla Tharp, Merce Cunningham Dance Company, and institutions such as The Joyce Theatre, Fall For Dance Festival and American Dance Festival. Jessica currently serves as a board member for Partner’s in Dance, Western Michigan University Department of Dance’s community support and fundraising organization.
Lauren Beaudin-Fulks

Lauren has an extensive teaching and choreographic background. Lauren is the coach of Stoney Creek high school's Varsity Dance Team. Lauren brings a wide variety of expertise to the studio in multiple genres ranging from ballet to competitive pom.
Abigale Tremp, BA, BA
Instructor, Admistrative Assistant
Hip-Hop & Jazz Instructor
Abigale began her extensive dance training at the age of two and is a proud PADC alumna. Abigale began her dance training at the PADC and extended it through her attendance at regional dance conventions such as Tremaine, Adrenaline, Revive, WCDE and LADM where she won scholarships. She has performed at numerous locations across the United States from the Palace of Auburn Hills to Walt Disney World to The Statue of Liberty in NYC. Through scholarship, Abigale was able to attend Urban Legends dance intensive in California where she worked with choreographers such as Nick Bass, Matt Aylward, Tony Bellissima, Brinn Nicole and Justin Timberlake’s choreographer Marty Kudelka. While a student at Michigan State University Abigale was a member of MSU Elite Competive Dance Team where she and her team placed second in DIA Pom and Team Dance at the Dance Team Union College Classic. Abigale is currently pursuing a career in Secondary Education for English, History, and Social Studies.
Shelby Phillips, BA
Instructor
Jazz & Hip Hop Teacher
Shelby recently graduated from Michigan state University where she majored in Interdisciplinary studies in social sciences: secondary education. She is planning on assistant teaching government at Troy High School starting in the Fall. Dancing since she was 3, Shelby has trained at Juliana’s academy of dance and has been apart of Lamphere High School varsity dance team and Michigan State University Elite competitive dance team. She was the captain of her collegiate level dance team for three years in a row. Shelby has had the opportunity to perform for amazing choreographers, artists, and venues through her dancing career. Last year Shelby was head coach of Haslett High school’s Varsity dance team. She has choreographed for her own teams as well as Lamphere dance team, Romeo dance team, and Royal Oak dance team.
Charlene Smale, BS
Instructor
Tap & Jazz Instructor
Charlene has been dancing since she was three years old and is a proud Pointe Academy Dance Center Alumni. She has spent the last four years dancing for the University of Michigan Dance Team, winning a double National Championship in D1A Jazz and D1A Hip Hop in 2021. Charlene found her love for teaching while working for Universal Dance Association. With UDA, she has traveled across the Midwest teaching technique and choreography to high school dance teams. She has also worked multiple UDA national and world championship events in Orlando, Florida.
